WPBakery JS Issue

I can’t get this theme to work on my Deluxe GoDaddy hosting package. I’ve tried installing it through GoDaddy’s interface as well as manually via FTP. The issue I have is that when I open up a Page in the WP Admin, the WPBakery functionality won’t work. I just get the WYSIWYG editor with all the shortcode. When I click on the “Backend Editor” button nothing happens. If I open the console I see the following syntax errors related to js_composer plugin.

SyntaxError: expected expression, got ’<’ backend.min.js:1

    TypeError: vc.shortcode_view is undefined vc.js:1:1

It works fine on my local install. These syntax errors are the only difference I’m seeing.

    Hi,

I think this is the issue from your hosting.

There are some conflicts between WP and GoDaddy hosting, so you should use an other hosting.

Or you can try contacting hosting manager to be help, we really can't help you more. Hope you understand.

I just purchased hosting with SiteGround. I did a fresh install of WordPress. Downloaded a fresh copy of the Modis theme, installed and activated. It's still broken and I can't use the backend Editor. Does this have something to do with the fact that the theme doesn't come with the latest version of WP Bakery? If we can't get this working on my new host I'm going to need you to refund my money.

Please try again. I had WP Debugging on which was causing an issue with login.
