How to setup onepager navigation (so navigation scrolls instead of going to different pages))

    Hi,

I just bought the Mentor theme and it looks great. I want to the navigation to be a "one pager" which scrolls instead of loads another page. It should work sort of like the link above: http://www.eshbeata.com/#contact

The only difference is that i'd like to have the navigation on the left side so it is always available when the user scrolls down.

I have tried to look at the article how to setup one pager from scratch but it doesnt cover my case as I dont have any dropdowns with "one pager" on the pages that i used. I have imported all the demo data and am using an adapted version of the Home page.

Can you please explain in step by step how i set up a "one pager" scroll navigation structure for my site?

    Thank you!

You can go to Menus add custom links

Then add ID to row in your homepage.

Ok, i get the part about the # now and setting up custom links in the menu. but how can i get the menu to be on the left side (vertical so the menu points stack on top of each other)? and get it to stick with the user as he scrolls down the page. Your theme says it is possible to have side navigation but i cant seem to find how to activate it.

OK, great thanks :-) unfortunately I havent been able to get it to work still. I'm suspecting this was not tested from a OSX system. I have tried with chrome, firefox, safari all newest versions of browsers and i've updated to the newest theme version: Version: 2.1.8. but doesnt look as intended. exactly the same problem is true when viewing on Ipad/iphone. I also tried updating to the newest version of the plugins required by the theme but with no luck. WordPress version 4.9.2 .

    - Question1: I need the menu to show up on the left side and be available to the user always how to do that

Also tested from windows system with chrome and IE with different (a lot better! :) results but the problem here is that it cuts off the slider image instead of resizing it. -

-Question 2: how do i get the slider to "respect" the menu layout on the left so it resizes the image properly

please see also for yourself how it looks at my site: www.damgaardcoaching.com
