    Hi there

I updated the theme with the help of Envato Market Plugin, everything seemed to work but i encountered the white screen of death (not on backend Admin page, only on front page)
Fortunately I did a backup before updating, but I don´t know hot to solve it if it happens again.
I must say, I am using the child theme.

    Thanks

    Hello,

You can continue change code in new child-theme, you'll not take any custom code.

1, Save your old parent theme, old child-theme and place on your computer.

2, Update your website use new parent theme and start custom code in new child theme (copy custom code from old child theme to new child theme)

3, It's take your time, but it's work fine for you.

If you still has issues and need support from me, please let me know.

    Thank you

Thanks, but I´m afraid because I made many changes, not only custom CSS, but Archi Options customizations, for example.

I know some changes are saved on database, but other maybe not, and I wouldn´t like to repeat all customization every time there is an update.

    Hello,

We will not make major changes to the php code in the future, this is the best theme so far, and there will be no major edits.

You'll not loose data, just need update parent theme and active parent theme, update all plugins, WordPress to latest version.

    Thank you

    Ok thanks
But i am not sure if I understood you.

Will I loose all the custom options, colors, etc, that I set on my old child theme? If so, I won´t update.

    Thanks

    Hi

Thanks, but doesn´t solve my question.

I mean, I must give the website to my client in about 2 weeks. I am developing on localhost and we must still purchase hosting, and make it live. I have to do Instruction Manual for my client, and solve many things. I have no time now to deal with problems concerning updating. That´s why I created a child theme: to be able to update safely and fast... but if you have done so many changes in the files, and I must create a new child theme too, how could I update and create a new child theme without losing my customizations?

    Thanks

    Hello,

In child-theme, Just copy the files you want to edit the code from the parent theme to the child-theme.

Please don't copy all files from parent theme to child theme.

    Thank you

I installed new theme, and activated new child theme, even i made a backup from old archi options in case of problems.

Everything seemed to be right, but the footer was gone, i mean the 4 Footer Widgets Areas were empty. Why?

Another problem was, I tried to use a custom template which I made for my "cookies policy" page but on new child theme, colors were wrong, from background and text. In old cchild theme it worked great.

I had to restore old 3.5.5.0 child theme.

    Hello,

1, By the way, where is the template named "standardtemplate" that I can choose when I create or edit a page? I can´t find it on "page-templates"

It's page.php in folder theme and not in "page-templates" (http://prntscr.com/gnaryg)

=> Please upload your website to run online, I can check and support for you quickly.

    Thank you
